OBJECTIVES:
1) Identify how a bill becomes a law in the United States by completing a flowchart based on class instruction and video clips.
2) Analyze the roles of Congressional committees in the legislative process in class discussion based on readings and class instruction.
3) Compare and contrast different rules of business in the legislative process between the House of Representatives and the Senate in small group discussion based on direct instruction.
4) Analyze the how the Connecticut Congressional delegations committee assignments affect local Connecticut issues in small group discussion based on in-class reading materials.
